Adam Harvison, founder of Harvison House, was interviewed by Guideposts and his story (our story) was published in July in their People Helping People section!
Titled Everyday Greatness: Helping Veterans Fell at Home, Adam tells the story of why he started Harvison House and how he and his amazing group of volunteers are changing his city by changing the lives of veterans.
While other organizations can provide these men and women with housing, they can’t always offer them sofas, beds, kitchen tables—the things that make a house into a home. “If someone’s just staring at four walls, they feel like they have nothing to lose,” Adam says. “We give them a place to feel proud of.”
